New Guitar Day Folks, quite belated. I got me a PRS SE Custom Hardtail. Not expensive as it sounds. Found it on CL for 350. A friend of mine had one and i remember it being easy to play and good clean tone. Long story short, i jam with a keyboardist brought my crappy gf for some jamming turns out im pretty good, and i switched to guitar. So this is my first real guitar. I have played a lot of them so i do know nice guitars when i touch them. I love the way it plays, tone is very solid, nice changes with the 3 way switch, stays in the tune real well, light, higher up is sex, frets and necktop are fine. A fair deal and good medium level guitar. I'm thinking P-rails later but for now it's nice. Very happy. I don't think i could have gotten a better deal for that much without finding some Pawn shop gem.

That's a nice slab, man. I realize this post is quite dated, but did you ever change out the pickups? I've got a Dimarzio D-Activator in the neck of my Epi LP Standard, and it freakin' screams. Maybe not what you're looking for, though....

No, not yet i was going to wait til i'm really sick of the stock. They are really good for the deal though. I just want the P-rails for the versatile changing. It's like 3 in one.

True, true. You might just try some PAF style magnets whenever you get sick of the stock ones.
