Some stupid wiring questions

Postby Morpheus » Tue Jun 29, 2010 8:01 am

Ok this is really obvious to all of you i'm sure but i'm not sure. I'm building a pedal from scratch. Wiring. Can i just use #24 pre bond from small bear the whole time?

I'm just thrown off by the different colored wires in the pedals i have now. Is that just so it's easier to build and no one gets the wires confused?

Couldn't tell you what the logic behind your other pedals.

But, the Small Bear wire will be great. There are some people that swear by the solid core stuff, but the are wrong!

Seriously, the braided stuff is much more forgiving for the new builder. The solid stuff does not take well to being jostled around.

Yep, colors are only for clarity (esp. when twisted).

If you want, you can do a whole range of supercomputers with a single (big) spool of wire :
